Driving Directions to

We recommend typing your address in the field at the top of the page to get turn-by-turn driving directions from Google Maps. However, for your convenience we have listed driving directions for various points.

1. From the Pennsylvania Turnpike (East)
   1. Exit turnpike at Harrisburg East Shore Exit, #247.
   2. Drive North on Interstate 283 to the junction with Interstate 83. Exit LEFT onto Interstate 83 (Signs will indicate "Harrisburg").
   3. Exit right off Interstate 83 onto Second Street. Proceed North on Second Street to the third traffic light (Chestnut Street).
   4. Turn right and proceed through one traffic light (at Third Street).
   5. There is a parking garage a half block beyond Third Street, on the left.
   6. After parking your car, take the garage elevator down to level 3, go through the glass doors to your left and down the ramp.
   7. Doors into the lobby of the Education Building are just beyond the end of the ramp, to the left.
2. From the Pennsylvania Turnpike (West)
   1. Follow signs out of the airport toward Harrisburg.
   2. The airport connector road will lead you onto Interstate 283.
   3. Drive North on Interstate 283 to the junction with Interstate 83.
   4. Exit LEFT onto Interstate 83 (Signs will indicate "Harrisburg") Exit right off Interstate 83 onto Second Street.
   5. Proceed North on Second Street to the third traffic light (Chestnut Street).
   6. Turn right and proceed through one traffic light (at Third Street).
   7. There is a parking garage a half block beyond Third Street, on the left.
   8. After parking your car, take the garage elevator down to level 3, go through the glass doors to your left and down the ramp.
   9. Doors into the lobby of the Education Building are just beyond the end of the ramp, to the left.
3. From the Harrisburg International Airport
   1. Exit I-81 at Cameron Street, south.
   2. Drive South on Cameron Street.
   3. Turn right onto Market Street (fifth traffic light).
   4. Proceed West on Market Street through subway under railroad tracks.
   5. As you exit the subway, turn right onto Fifth Street. Stay to the left and bear left onto Walnut Street.
   6. Turn left at the second traffic light (4th Street). Proceed on 4th Street to the second traffic light (Chestnut Street); turn right.
   7. There is a parking garage on your right.
   8. After parking your car, take the garage elevator down to level 3, go through the glass doors to your left and down the ramp.
   9. Doors into the lobby of the Education Building are just beyond the end of the ramp, to the left.
4. From Interstate 81 (North & South)
   1. Exit turnpike at Harrisburg West Shore Exit, #242.
   2. Drive North on Interstate 83.
   3. Cross Susquehanna River (long bridge) and exit right onto Second Street at end of bridge.
   4. Proceed North on Second Street to the third traffic light (Chestnut Street).
   5. Turn right and proceed through one traffic light (at Third Street).
   6. There is a parking garage a half block beyond Third Street, on the left.
   7. After parking your car, take the garage elevator down to level 3, go through the glass doors to your left and down the ramp.
   8. Doors into the lobby of the Education Building are just beyond the end of the ramp, to the left
5. From US 22-322 (North)
   1. Drive south on 22-322 until you reach the I-81 interchange.
   2. Stay in left hand lane onto Cameron Street (US 22) and follow instructions from NO.4
6. From US 11-15 (South)
   1. Route 11, from Carlisle, and Route 15, from Gettysburg, intersect with PA 581, the Harrisburg Expressway, a few miles west of Harrisburg.
   2. Follow 581 until it joins I-83 and proceed on I-83 across the Susquehanna River.
   3. Stay to the right and get off at the Second Street exit. Go to the third traffic light (Chestnut Street).
   4. Turn right and proceed through one traffic light (at Third Street).
   5. There is a parking garage a half block beyond Third Street, on the left.
   6. After parking your car, take the garage elevator down to level 3, go through the glass doors to your left and down the ramp.
   7. Doors into the lobby of the Education Building are just beyond the end of the ramp, to the left.

The IRRC conference room is located on the 14th floor. If you are not a Commonwealth employee, you will need to register at the front desk upon entering the building.
